Weekend update and my last day

Over the weekend we went to Bellville for Uncle Mike's brother's wedding. Of course, Mary had a great time running around with all of the little girls. Her new friend is Brooke.
Today is my last day at home with Amy. I've been "working" part time to get all of my beginning of the year testing completed before I came back. I got all of it done. For those that are teachers, you know what I'm talking about. It was so nice to pull all of my kids while I still had my sub. Now I have all of my data and can begin groups as soon as I get back. Amy will stay at Kelly Cox's house. She had been an aide at our school for 3 years. She has 2 daughters, 3rd and 4th graders. There is another little boy, Caden, staying there. She is also keeping a 3 year old part time. Amy went for part of the day Mon and Tues. She didn't drink much of her bottle, but never got really fussy. Hopefully she will catch on pretty quick to the bottle.

Amy's Baptism

This past weekend we had Amy baptized into the Catholic Church. She wore the same gown that I, my sister, and Mary wore when baptized. We had originally planned on having lots of family in town that weekend for the event. However, it just didn't work out for everyone. Grandma Betty arrived Friday afternoon. The Godparents, Mandy (William's sister) and Vince, were delayed getting in and didn't arrive until Saturday evening. Mary had so much fun playing with her cousin, Vincent. It has been quite a while since they have been able to play together.

2 Months Old

Amy is 2 months old today. She had her well baby doctor visit today. She now weighs in at 12 lbs 1.5 oz (76%tile) and is 23 inches long (69%tile) and her head circ is in the 18%tile (last time her head size didn't even make it on the chart because it was so small). She got 2 shots and an oral today. She did really good. By the time we got dressed and buckled up she had already stopped screaming and crying. And by the time we got home she was all smiles (as you can see in the pict). She is also sleeping really good at night. Last night after her 9:00 feeding she went to bed and didn't wake up until 5:15!! Yahoo!!! I didn't think a decent nights sleep would ever come.

2008 Austin County Fair Parade Marshall

Another week on the farm!

We left Saturday, Aug 30 after I fed Amy. She made it all the way, we didn't have to stop to feed her. William left Sunday night and left his 3 girls on the farm. Once again we had a lot of fun. Mary got to go to the flower shop, ride in the terra gator and tractor, play outside, play beauty shop with Granny, and go on wagon rides. She even had a new first...Pa-Pa took her with him to work in the hay field. While out there she said she needed to go potty. So he taught her how to squat and go! :) Amy had some firsts as well, she drank from a bottle, started sleeping past 4am, swing, and ride in a wagon. She also got to hang out at the flower shop and go to a shower with Granny. We also found out some fantastic news...my dad will be the parade marshall for the fair this year! We will be taking off work to go see him lead it. Maybe Mary and Amy will get to ride with him!
