Having fun with scissors!

While Grandma Betty was here she helped Mary plant some seeds. As you can see the grass grew quite tall, so it was time to give him a hair cut.

Sittin' in my Bumbo

Cousin Kathryn let Amy borrow her bumbo. Amy really enjoyed sitting in it while watching her mobile.

Grandma Betty and Grandpa Bruce's Visits

Grandma Betty arrived on Monday, Aug 11 and departs on Tues, Aug 19. Grandpa Bruce arrived on Wed, Aug 13 and departed Mon, Aug 18. He drove his Harley from Florida to Ohio to Dallas to Houston, and then back to Florida. So, with all of the company, it's been a little crazy around here. William took off of work on Thur and Fri. Mary has been having sleepovers in her room with Grandma Betty and Grandpa Bruce has been on the sleeper sofa. Mary had lots of fun playing with Grandma Betty. She also kept the kids on Saturday night and we went out to eat at Mi Cocina (which we loved) and did a little shopping at Watter's Creek in Allen.

Preschool

Mary started preschool last week. She was so excited to be going back. Her teacher this year is Ms. Helen. She really enjoyed picking out a lunch kit this year. She calls it her Aladden lunch box, even though it is a Disney Princess one.

1 Month Old

It is hard to believe that Amy is already one month old today. She is on a pretty regular schedule, sleeping 4-6 hours at night. She is holding her head up really good now and starting to smile.

The Greatest Show on Earth!

William decided to take Mary to the circus. She was very excited, and they had a lot of fun. Mary said her favorite part was seeing the elephants.

Birth Announcement

Mary sings a song to her baby sister!

Mary wanted to sing a song to her little sister. For the last few weeks she has been making up her own songs. This is another Mary original. :)

First Trip to the Farm

Well, after Amy and I had our 2 week dr visits, we decided to make the trip to Bellville. Amy got to meet her Granny and Pa-Pa!! We arrived Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday were days full of visitors. On Sunday, William headed back and left all the girls on the farm. The rest of the week was pretty laid back. We went in to spend time with Granny at the flower shop. Mary got to drive a tractor, play on the slip and slide, check the garden, ride on the gator, and just hang out with Pa-Pa and Granny. Amy discovered that she LOVES to be outside (too bad it has been TOO HOT to go) and the last 30 minutes-hour before bedtime is not very happy. She is just like Mary and has decided that will be her "fussy" time. William came back Friday evening and we headed back to McKinney after the 9:00pm feeding on Saturday, so we were able to make the trip back nonstop with 2 sleepy kids! Amy got to meet her Great Grandma. She is the 4th great grandchild.

She also got to meet many of her little friends. From L to R: Amy, Mary, Eric Byrd (5 months), Lily and Carter SwensonFamily Picture
