Poor, sick Mary

Yesterday afternoon Mary woke up from her nap, but didn't want to get out bed, which is not out of the ordinary. I finally got her out to go to the bathroom. Then I gave her a hug and she was quite warm, so I took her temperature. It was almost 102! So I gave her some motrin, put her back in bed. She watched a movie and read books. At supper she ate just a few bites of bread and a pickle. Afterwards, she rode her tricycle and was feeling good. Then at 2am she was screaming/crying. She had gone to the bathroom, but unable to get her pants back on. While helping her I felt that she was burning up. I took her temperature...103.3 under the arm!! We gave her more motrin and put her in a cool bath. At 2:30 her temp was down to 102.2. Everyone went back to bed. At 7am she woke up and we took her temp again, 102.9. William stayed home and took her to the doctor. Strep and flu tests came back negative. Probably just a virus that needs to run it's course. This aftenoon the temp was 101 after meds had worn off. She has been watching TV, resting, and readng books.

Daddy's Birthday Weekend!

William had fun on his birthday weekend. He took Mary swimming Friday evening. Then on Saturday we just hung out around the house until it was time to eat! William wanted to go to Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Allen. Then we did a little shopping before heading home to enjoy an ice cream cake that Mary had picked out for him. It was delicious!

Amy can be quite the giggle box!

Update

I gave up computer time this year for lent again. So, that's why you haven't seen much lately. This weekend we went to my cousin Pamela's wedding in Clear Lake. We had a lot of fun and of course Mary had a TON of fun! On the way back this morning we made a slight detour and drove through Huntsville. We had fun driving by the apartments where we first met and lived for 2 sememsters, going by some of our old hangouts. Unfortuately, many of them were completely gone or turned into something else. It was a lot of fun driving on campus seeing our old class buildings and seeing all the new ones they have built. Me and the girls will be driving back to Bellville this coming weekend for spring break. We can't wait to spend some time with Granny and do some fun things on the farm!
