Mary's turning 2!

We took Mary to have her pictures taken for her 2nd birthday. She is finally getting the hang of having professional pictures done. She was somewhat cooperative and the photographer was pretty good, too.
Everytime the photographer said "Say Cheese," she would drop down to play peek-a-boo.
I can't believe we got one of these to turn out. She kept wanting to roll on her back.
Mary was so excited when she saw the horse. She immediatly jumped on, but was quickly dissappointed when it wouldn't rock!
Too cute!

Grandma Betty's visit

Grandma Betty came for a visit. Mary got to stay at home with her during the day. We had fun going out to eat, playing in the yard, going swimming, and just hanging out.
Grandma Betty brought along some early birthday presents. Mary is really getting the hang of this opening thing. The paper came off much faster than at Christmas time.
Aunt Jane and Uncle Steve sent a cute little outfit and an Elmo book. Mary loves Elmo!
Mary loves giving the bottle to her new little baby doll that Grandma Betty gave her. She is a very good mommy to her. Grandma Betty also gave her an adorable pink dress for spring.
"Bye-Bye Grandma Betty" "See you next time" "See you later"

1st pedicure

Amy gave Mary her first nail polish on her toes. It is just too cute! Now we just need some sandals to show them off.

Spring Break on the Farm

Mary had a great time on the farm during spring break. We had originally planned on staying from Saturday to Thursday, but our plans changed. We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. There were a couple of days of rain, but when it wasn't she was outside playing. I think her favorite was sitting in her new spot Granny made for her by the fish pond and listening to Ricky on the radio playing polka music. She also had fun when we roasted marshmallows! One morning Doc spotted a mother and baby turtle crossing the driveway. I ran back to get the camera. By the time I got back the mom had already crawled into the tall grass. Mary enjoyed just watching the baby.
Mary enjoyed dancing with everyone, especially the goose!

Rodeo Houston 2007

Mary, Pa-Pa and I made the trip to the rodeo on Wednesday, March 7. We started off a bit rough. We decided to ride the tram, since it was quite a walk. It was all we could do to keep her on the thing. She was not happy. Once we got inside she was so excited to run from one exhibit to the next. She even got to pet Elsie the cow! Her favorite had to be the coloring station. When it was time to leave she was very upset. We decided to walk back to the car since she disliked the tram so much. We made it to the car just in time as it started POURING down rain as soon as we got in. Mary got to see baby chicks hatching and lots of roosters and hens.

Mary got to go in the petting zoo. She loved running from one animal to the next.
During the sing-a-long the musician let Mary play the tambourine! She was so excited.
Mary even got to be in the rodeo! I think we might have a future rodeo clown!

Chuck E. Cheese

Mary enjoyed her first trip to Chuck E. Cheese. She played an hour before she sat down to eat. I thought I would have to take her out kicking and screaming, but she was very tired after playing for an hour and half!
