We have been trying to get Mary to learn how to ride her bike. She just doesn't seem to get the pedaling thing.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a great time on our last trip to the farm for awhile. My doctor doesn't like me to leave the metroplex after 32 weeks. So it looks like we won't be going back until #2 is about 4-6 weeks old.

On Saturday morning Daddy taught mary how to play T-Ball. She had fun, but after they played she used the bat like a golf club! It might be a while before she really gets it. Granny had to work with it being Mother's Day weekend and Prom night. After playing, we went into town to help her out...they were busy! We went to church that afternoon and ate out a the new Italian restaurant in town. It was good.

When we got home from eating out we changed clothes and headed down to the pasture to pick some dewberries. We each had a bowl to fill with berries. Everytime I asked Mary how many she had in her's, she would say none. She would pick and eat them. After awhile she finally started putting some in her bowl. They were delicious.

That night we stayed up to watch the Big Joe Polka Show. Pa-Pa got out his "new" accordian. Mary loved it!


For Mother's Day we went down to Grandma's for some BBQ brisket and pork. Afterwards, we played and celebrated Aunt Na-Na's Birthday.

Before we headed home Mary ate a few more dewberries. We asked her where all of them went and she lifted up her shirt to show us. :)

Relay for Life weekend

Well, I was our team captain this year for our campus team. We had a lot of fun and raised almost $4000! Paige came up Friday for the event. Mary stayed until about 10:00. Mary loves Aunt Paige because she was letting her have whatever she wanted to eat. I think Mary sampled a little of everything we brought. I wasn't able to walk as much as I did last year, 2 laps at a time and a much slower pace. Paige and I stayed until about 2:00am. There were still 2 team members walking when we left. The weather was beautiful, just a little cooler than we anticipated.

I passed the test!

Well, I went back today for the full 3 hour glucose test. I went in at 8:45 after fasting since bedtime, I got to drink a cup full of sugar! They tested my blood every hour. I took lots of work with me to pass the time, just sitting at the office. At noon it had to be at 130, and I came in at 132. Since it was so close, the nurse said she would need to check with the dr to see what he wanted me to do. He said that I was okay and would not need to alter my diet or check my blood sugar daily. I'll just try not to eat too much sugar! I did promise I would be good ;)

All grown up!

I took Mary to have her 3 year pics done at Sears. She was VERY good. The photographer told her how to stand/sit, what to do, and she did it!

Dr. Appts

Today was a no school day for McKinney. So I scheduled my glucose test and Mary's 3 year check up for this morning. My sugar level came back high, so I have to go back in a week and do the full 3 hour test :( After my appointment we headed over to Mary's doctor's office. She is growing and developing perfectly. She is now 30 lbs and 40 inches tall, which is the 94% percentile. No shots this time, but he did warn me, that next year she will have several.

Mary is 3!!!!

On Thursday night we baked her cake. Mary wanted to help make it.

Before her party we showed her our gift to her...a new big girl room. She got a new bed with Dora everything. Daddy also put together a new bookshelf (twice...just ask him if you want the story of why he had to do it 2 times ;) ) to put all of her things. She really likes it!

Mary had a great time at her birthday party! She had some friends come over to celebrate. Nancy and Little William, The Roubique's, Charmaine and Hunter, and Grandma Betty. We had salad, breadsticks, and pizza to eat for supper. Then we had strawberry cake and ice cream. After that she opened her presents.

Today after school Mary was playing in the other room. When I came in to check on her I couldn't help but run and get the camera.

Growing Belly
