We attended Audrey and Justin's wedding held out at Southfork Ranch. After the reception we walked over to the mansion. William says it's just not a Southfork wedding if someone donesn't end up in the pool!
We have been going on a lot of walks lately. Sometimes Mary says "go on a nature walk." This week we found a bunny between houses (we see him often). Also, in our shrubs we found 2 birds resting. Mary was able to get very close without them moving. She did remind me "no touch" several times.
Well, I've tried using the video upload icon to get video on the blog, but I have been unsuccessful. I hope this way works...I've never used youtube before. Just click on the title of this blog entry and it should take you directly to the video. If it doesn't work, just let me know and I'll try something different. Enjoy!
We arrived on the farm on Friday, June 9 and left Sunday, June 17. We had a lot of fun while visiting Granny and Pa-Pa.
Uncle Mike and Aunt Na-Na gave Mary a magnet fishing set. She really likes it. However, she discovered she could just grab it with her hand and then say "I got one!"
Sunday, June 10 was Pa-Pa's 51st birthday. We fried fish with friends and family. Mary had so much fun!
On Monday, Granny went fishing with Mary.
On Tuesday, Granny went swimming with Mary.
After supper we went to the mini park. They had a big slide. Mary LOVED it! She would go down the slide and then climb back up to go again.
On Wednesday we went to the Houston Zoo. Mary had a great time, she knew the names of nearly every animal we saw. Here were some of her favorites!
Elephants, white alligator, orangutan, sea lion, otters, rhino, bear, flamingo
In one aquarium there was a clear tunnel. Mary got to be with the fish.
In the afternoon we took Pa-Pa a snack out in the hay field. She wanted to switch hats.
After enjoying the popsicle we had a quick storm move through. Mary saw her first rainbow today. She was sooooo excited. It was a full rainbow right in front of our house.Since it was almost bathtime, we let her play out in the rain. She immediately found a water puddle and had some fun splashing around.
